The invisible string theory was proven true the moment Sarah Ann and Trey crossed paths. They both attended all-gender Catholic high schools, which would unknowingly set the stage for their eventual connection. A shared love for the Fleur De Lis also brought them closer together, as it’s the symbol of both New Orleans and Louisville, two cities that are sister cities. This bond over the Fleur De Lis became one of the many little signs that led them closer to each other. Trey worked in Kansas City, just ten minutes from the place Sarah was adopted from. Even more coincidental, Trey had unknowingly been celebrating Sarah Ann’s birthday his entire life, as she shares the same birthday as Trey’s sister, Ellie. Sarah Ann quickly became a Bengals fan when she realized Joe Burrow, a former LSU Tiger, was their quarterback. However, no matter how much she roots for the team, she’ll always stand by her "Who Dat" spirit and never say, "Who Dey!" Their paths finally crossed online when Sarah’s friend convinced her to download a dating app during a wine night. Sarah was on the app for only two hours before she matched with Trey, the love of her life. And, as they say, the rest is history! They also welcomed their son, John Brooks, in September.
