FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah B Anderson and Travis P Reiter
Question

May Elopement, August reception?

Answer

We’re exchanging vows privately in the mountains with just our parents present and then celebrating with all of our favorite people at the August reception. This lets us have an intimate ceremony and still share the joy with everyone we love.

Question

Why did you choose to Elope?

Answer

The idea of a large wedding didn’t feel natural to either of us. Instead we opted to have a few of those closest to us, and a few add ons (they’re hard to say no to!) - in an environment that felt true to us.

Question

What’s the Dress Code?

Answer

In short - Cocktail Adjacent We all know Sarah loves her photos. Keeping that in mind and adding time of year, we want all of our guests to be comfortable and photographable. Please no ripped jeans, sneakers, T shirts, hoodies, short shorts, or club attire. A big YES! to:Sundresses, cocktail dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, Slacks, Khakis, Chinos, Button up shirts.

Question

How long should we plan to be there?

Answer

We have reserved the space for dinner and celebrating from 5pm to 10pm. It is a Monday after all!

Question

Who’s invited?

Answer

Each invitation card includes the guest count for your specific group. We would love to have everyone celebrate with us, but unfortunately are limited on space to do so. We hope you understand!

Question

Children?

Answer

Yes! We would love to have your little ones celebrate with us! However, we do ask that you keep an eye on them to ensure other guests also get to enjoy their time. P.S. if you need us to say they can’t come, we’ve got you!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

5-6pm will be a mingling and cocktail hour, dinner will begin at 6pm. Please arrive between 5-6pm.

Question

What should I expect at the reception?

Answer

Appetizers, Dinner, Dessert, Drinks, Music, Dancing, and a relaxed evening celebrating together. We want more of a backyard party than formal program, although we still plan to have some traditional reception events.

Question

When is the hard RSVP cutoff?

Answer

Please RSVP via the website link or mailing the paper card to us by July 15th so we can have a proper headcount to our vendors in time.

Question

What if I RSVP’d but can’t make it?

Answer

Life happens. We get it! And a Monday isn’t the typical reception day, we planned what works best for us. We’d love to celebrate with you but understand if something came up. Please let the bride or groom know of your absence as soon as possible.

Question

Weather?

Answer

It’s August! Expect the temperatures to be high! The venue does have both indoor and outdoor space we will be using so please don’t shy! Step inside to cool off as needed or get your tan on outside!

Question

Gifts?

Answer

We’re grateful just to celebrate with you! If you wish, we have a small registry and honeymoon fund listed on the site and will have a card box and gift table at the reception.

Question

What’s the bar situation?

Answer

We’ll have a cash bar available at the reception with a variety of drink options beginning at 6pm. Come early and enjoy a drink on us during cocktail hour 5-6pm. A celebratory toast drink will be provided for all guests (we’re choosing something a little sweeter than traditional champagne!). We will also have water and select non alcoholic drinks available. Please plan accordingly if you’d like additional beverages, we want everyone to make it home safely!

Question

Where’s the honeymoon?

Answer

After our elopement, we’ll be heading off on a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon through Europe! Our 3 week adventure will take us through Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic where we’ll wander historic streets, eat far too many pastries, and soak in the beauty of cities we’ve always dreamed of visiting.
