Who knew TJ and Sarah would spend 3 months in 2019 traveling together through Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, and Fiji with the University of Georgia only to unknowingly move in across the street from each other when they returned to Athens, GA (shoutout 100 Davis St). Throughout their time traveling the world, TJ and Sarah were close friends, along with the 28 other students that they lived, ate, and adventured with. After returning to Athens, Sarah and TJ quickly began spending a lot of time together walking Wellington, going on coffee runs, watching scary movies, and always being the DD for each other because why not do all those things when you are "just neighbors". It only took another 8 months in fostering this relationship to officially start dating. But when TJ finally let Wells sleep in his bed, they both knew that there was no turning back.
This part of the love story began with a surprise proposal at Folly Beach, South Carolina. Before putting the plan into action, TJ had been planting seeds for Sarah to take a girls trip with some of her best friends. After being sold on the idea, so much so that Sarah thought it was her own, TJ began coordinating with her sister and soon-to-be bridesmaids into what resulted in an elaborate plan including a fake Airbnb swap, calendar coordinations, and cross-country flights. The plan all came together when Sarah walked her way down to the Morris Island Lighthouse where she unknowingly would find TJ down on one knee with a ring. After some heartfelt words and a strong nod yes, the couple captured the moment in timeless pictures and a windblown Wellington. But the story doesn't end there. Once back to the Airbnb, Sarah was met with an additional surprise of family and friends that came together to celebrate this milestone.
