Located just down the road from the church we are getting married at, this historic farm was the start of Tim's blacksmithing career and a fun outdoor activity. It is open 9am-5pm Thursday through Monday and suggested donation is $5 for visitors over 3yrs. A great option for walking and things to do with kids!
A beautiful park and gardens for walking, exploring historic houses and museums, and WWII tanks. Admission is free but parking on the weekends is $10. Hours are 7am to Sunset. Located near Wheaton this is about a 10 minute drive to the ceremony location and only 15-20 minutes from the Fairfield in St. Charles.
The park district hub of St. Charles, this park is just a few minutes from main street downtown St. Charles and has tennis courts, a pool, walking trails, playgrounds, paddleboat rides, a mini golf course, a golf course, and more. It also has a large pavilion that was often used as a "castle" for adventures when Sarah was younger. As a former park district employee, Sarah gives two thumbs up!

Just down the street is Grahams 318 which is a coffee shop and bakery that also serves gelato, fondue and is a big favorite! Nestled in the heart of downtown Geneva the area is highly walkable and great for shopping, exploring, and grabbing a bite!
Live music, dinner, or drinks in a roaring 20's themed restaurant and bar above the historic Arcada Theater in downtown St. Charles. Check closer to July for the concert schedule, but it is always fun! Don't forget to check for the secret password in the elevator or you may just be turned away ;)
A quaint home in historic downtown St. Charles that has been converted to a bookstore and cafe. The menu is inspired by books, so make sure to stop here if you have a literary leaning!
Sarah is well acquainted with this facility as she worked there for 3 years in high school and early college. She gives it two thumbs up and recommends it for families as there are plenty of options for kids of all ages. The facility houses a splash park, sand area, zero depth to 2ft toddler pool, zero entry main pool with slides, a diving pool with springboards and body slides, as well as a tube slide and lazy river.
