FAQsFAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah Hechler and Tim Baird
Because we know weddings bring out everyone’s inner over-thinker (don’t worry, we’ve already done the overthinking for you). Here are the answers to all the questions you didn’t know you needed to ask. 🙃
Question

What is the dress attire? What is the dress attire?

Answer

Our wedding will be cocktail attire, with the celebration taking place mostly outdoors. Please keep in mind the fall weather and terrain when planning your outfit. For the Ladies: • Dresses or jumpsuits at midi or knee length are perfect - stylish but practical for staying warm and dancing the night away. • The ceremony will be on uneven terrain, so we recommend bringing a pair of flats for that portion or wearing wedge heels for easier walking. • A shawl, wrap, or light jacket is encouraged in case the evening temperatures dip. For the Gentlemen: • Suits or dress slacks with a blazer and tie are appropriate. • Dark dress shoes or loafers are best, but keep in mind the outdoor setting when choosing your footwear. Most importantly, wear something you’ll feel comfortable, confident, and ready to celebrate in!

Question

What time should I arrive? What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 20–30 minutes before the ceremony begins so you have time to park, find your seat, and settle in. Fashionably late does not apply here.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors? Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors, and we move indoors for the reception!

Question

What is the weather like this time of the year? What is the weather like this time of the year?

Answer

End of November in North GA will likely be on the side of chilly. However, we can randomly get hot days! Make sure to check your weather app leading up the event. But you can likely plan for mid-60's during the day, and low 50's at night. Basically: layers are your friend. (Umbrella optional, positive vibes mandatory.)

Question

Who can I contact with questions the day of?Who can I contact with questions the day of?

Answer

Tim and I will be very busy, and likely overwhelmed. We’ll be a little busy… you know, getting married so we would appreciate you texting us only in emergencies. Or to tell us how amazing we are together. However, any of our close family members on both sides would be a great resource to reach out to with questions! On the Baird side, Tim's mom, Kathy Baird or his sisters Stacey and Megan. On the Hechler side, Sarah's mom, Debi Hechler or her sisters Ashley and Kristen.

Question

Can we take photos / post on social media? Can we take photos / post on social media?

Answer

Of course! We'd love you to share your photos! Our hashtag is #BecomingTheBairds. But please try to refrain from photos during the ceremony so our photographer can have a clear shot. We wouldn't want your pretty faces blocked by a mobile phone in the photos either! Post-ceremony, snap photos to your hearts content! Just remember to get our good sides 😉

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions? What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of. (We promise not to make you live on salad alone… unless that’s your thing!) 🥗✨

Question

What is parking like? What is parking like?

Answer

Qualusi has a ton of parking, and we have the place rented out so you shouldn't have any issues finding a spot. If you’re using rideshare, we recommend setting your drop-off to Qualusi Vineyard. (Bonus: no one has to argue about who’s the DD.)

Question

Are kids welcome?Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We wish we could have invited all the wee ones, but guest count didn't allow it. Your invitation will be labeled 'The Family of xyz" if your kids are invited.

Question

Where should I stay?Where should I stay?

Answer

Check out the "Travel" tab for hotel recommendations. There are also a ton of homes on vrbo, not as many on Airbnb.

Question

Do you have a registry?Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes! You can find it in the navigation above. Gifts are appreciated but NOT required — your presence (and dance moves) are the best gift of all.

Question

Can I bring a guest?Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate if you have a plus one. If you’re unsure, just check your RSVP card or reach out to Sarah or Tim.

Question

Will food and drinks be served? Will food and drinks be served?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have cocktail hour, followed by dinner, buffet-style and drinks. Our venue has a strict rule regarding bringing your own alcohol, so please chug before you arrive ;) or leave it and enjoy the booze on site!

Question

When is the RSVP Deadline? When is the RSVP Deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by [date] so we can finalize details. Consider this your official reminder: we love you, but Sarah also love spreadsheets.
