Nope! The ferry runs late, normally until around midnight or so. Whether you live close to the venue, are taking the ferry over, or are driving around The Sound, you will have the ability to leave whenever you are comfortable and still be able to make your way home. If you are ferrying, be sure to check the schedule so you can plan accordingly! Just please don't drink and drive :) That being said, if you plan to fully partake in all the activities the evening has to offer, I strongly suggest getting a room at the venue and not worrying about anything!
You are certainly not obligated to stay at the venue if you prefer a different accomodation, but it will be the easiest option by far! First and foremost, you will receive a discounted rate for booking with the venue (details on the Travel & Accommodations page). You will also already be on the property of the ceremony and reception, making traveling to and from the wedding exceptionally easy (my coomute is 2 minutes down the hallway? yes please). If you are staying Friday night, then the venue has plenty to do during the day Saturday before the festivities begin, like a spa, pool, casino, beautiful scenery, etc. Downtown Bainbridge is also only a 15 minute drive from the venue (right by the ferry terminal), and is a fun and quaint town to spend the afternoon exploring! If you prefer an accomodation different from the venue, or are staying longer than Friday and Saturday, then check out AirBnbs or hotels on the island or Seattle region. Whatever you prefer!
No, the ceremony and reception are both at the Suquamish Clearwater Resort! It will be a very short walk from one to the other.
Yes, there is free parking right out front of the main Resort entrance. Please see the Travel & Accommodations page for details on how to get there. If you have a room at the resort, you may also park on the second floor of the garage.
When you book your room, you will know whether it is in the Tower or the Resort building. The Resort is the smaller, 4-story building that you will enter for the ceremony. The Tower is the taller, 7-story building. Check in at the building that your room is in.
Please arrive around 4:30pm, as the ceremony will begin sharply at 5pm.
Cocktail, festive, business-informal, business-formal, semi-formal.... whatever you call it, just look good :) oh, and ladies, bear in mind that the ceremony will be on grass. Choose your shoes accordingly.
Please only bring a date if your invite offered a plus one AND you RSVPd for two. Imagine bringing a date and they have to stand next to you at the ceremony because there weren't enough seats set up? And then they have to stand next to you at the reception? AND they will have to watch you eat dinner?! Terrible. Don't be that person.
Kids are more than welcome! Our boys Bronson and Olin will be there, plus nephews, neices, and little loved ones. This is a family affair! Please check your invite for your childrens' names, or the phrase "and kids", for confirmation. Please also ensure to RSVP whether they are coming or not! (It is more than understandable if mom and dad deserve a night/weekend away)
