FAQs

Question

“Where’s the …” / “When are we doing …”

Answer

We have loved planning a wedding that is not traditional by any means and ignores practices that have historically ostracized the LGBTQ+ community. If we do not do something at our wedding that is customary at traditional weddings, it is because we have made the conscious decision to not include that in our day. A good example of this is that, because we are not property, we will not be “given away” to each other. If you have any questions about how to best celebrate us, please let us know!

Question

Pronouns & Terminology

Answer

Taylor prefers they/them pronouns, Sarah is still cool with she/her. We know that none of you are familiar with using they/them pronouns to refer to us and that’s okay! All we care about is that you’re making an attempt to respect us and who we are, which includes trying to use the correct pronouns. On a similar note, we are both fine with the term “wife.” We will be using completely gender neutral terminology and pronouns during the official ceremony but we will be each other’s wife!
