Sarah and Steven’s journey began on the very first night of their freshman year at Fairleigh Dickinson University. After the freshman luau, they met in Steven’s dorm room, where they exchanged introductions—completely unaware that they were in that moment meeting their future spouse. Throughout college, their paths crossed often. They shared a class, studied together in the library (Steven once won major points by surprising Sarah with an iced coffee), and even lived next door to each other during sophomore year. Though always friendly, their connection remained casual—until life had other plans. During their senior year, Sarah broke her femur, leaving her unable to walk or climb stairs. Without hesitation, Steven stepped in, offering to carry her up a flight of stairs—a small act of kindness that reignited their connection in the most unexpected way. From that moment on, their friendship deepened, turning into daily conversations, shared moments, and ultimately, an unshakable love. What began as a simple meeting between two freshmen grew into something extraordinary—built on laughter, fate, and a love meant to last a lifetime. After college, Sarah and Steven took their next big step together, moving into their first apartment in Hoboken in May 2021. What they didn’t know then was that life had a few more adventures in store. Over the next two years, they packed up twice more—first to Tampa in July 2022, and then back to New Jersey in October 2023, where they now call Orange home. Through every move and new beginning, one thing has remained constant: wherever life takes them, as long as they have each other, they are home. As they embark on this next chapter, Sarah and Steven are beyond grateful to have their closest family and friends by their side.
