AKA: Twin. Sarah and Sarah met back in 2015 through their mutual love of Taylor Swift. Each of them had fan accounts & messaged each other about a mutual snow day thinking they were close to each other. Turns out they were in two different countries… but nothing could stop their friendship. Growing up together included many road trips, sleepovers, and most importantly, their love for Jesus growing with every trial and tribulation. Sarah is so honored to stand with the bride as she takes this step into a new journey!
Tara
Maid of Honor
Tara and Sarah met back in 2018 on this cool thing called Chicago Summer Mission. Running around the city together, sharing about Jesus with people, and late night chats led to a deep friendship. The girls decided to move in together, in 2020 following college graduation, & take on the city again. The last five years have been filled with so many laughs, figuring out adult life, and seeing each other meet the love of our lives. And now, they get to watch each other get married just one month apart from one another!
Eden

Eden and Sarah met not too long ago in 2022 during Sarah’s internship in graduate school, but it feels like they’ve been the best of friends forever. The two worked together to navigate difficult cases at work, while simultaneously navigating the ups & downs of their own lives. Inseparable in and out of work, they did most everything together including late night dinners, watching every documentary possible, and picking each other up when the other was down. It’d be hard to imagine Sarah’s wedding without Eden standing right up there with her.

Allie and Sarah met all the way back in 2012 back at Carter Middle School. The two played flute together in band & shared a love of music and Taylor Swift. Their friendship started out with “Taylor Swift sleepovers”, which turned into spending every waking moment together. Living two minutes away from one another made for late, late night drives, picking up a Little Caesar’s Pizza, and sitting on Sarah’s bed until 3 am laughing. Their friendship became even deeper when the Taylor Swift connections between Sarah, Allie, & Sarah collided. Their friendships have become so deeply rooted in the Lord as life has taken us on wild rides. But to the bride, Allie’s friendship will always feel like home. Kerrigan and Sarah met back in 2017 working at Kohl’s together. Working the registers, dealing with coupons & crazy Black Friday hours bonded them quickly. Once Sarah found out that Kerrigan was starting her freshmen year at Oakland University, their friendship truly blossomed. The girls have walked through many life seasons with each other, lots of moving and life changes, but their friendship has remained one of the most consistent things in Sarah’s life.

Hannah and Sarah, also known as “the girls”. Hannah is Sarah’s little sister & only sister. Sarah has been obsessed with her since day 1, and even though Hannah is the younger one, Sarah could always count on Hannah to stand up for her. Hannah has taught Sarah what it means to be loyal. The newest “Ford”, but forever a “DeWalt”.

Also known as Shelb, these two also met on the crazy time that was Chicago Summer Mission in 2018. Once it was discovered that they were only an hour apart when Shelby was at MSU, her apartment became Sarah’s second home. Sometimes driving there every weekend, their weekends consisted of late night talks, mac and cheese, and LOTS of pancakes in the mornings. The best times. Sarah recently stood in Shelby’s wedding, & Sarah cannot wait to have Shelby stand with her!
