SURPRISE! Tinder was the magic place. He swiped right first but his smile and charm is what really drew me in. We spent the next 3 days sharing Veggie Tales stories and terrible dad jokes. We definitely bonded over being those weird awkward homeschoolers. We had planned to meet up a week later but I was just too impatient! I talked him into meeting me 3 days after we first matched. We drove around for hours and the rest is history. God works in weird ways, that's for sure.
Early Saturday morning we went on our regular trip to the farmers market, I thought he was going to propose but my roommates had me convinced it was not going to happen. Seth had planned to take me to a coffee shop and kept insisting that the chai tea latte I was going to get would be, "the best chai tea I've ever had". We drove into downtown Phoenix to Song Bird coffee house, there was a homeless guy sleeping in the parking lot and young adults roller skating around. Not gonna lie, I was uncomfortable and had no idea why he felt we needed to go to this coffee house. Anyways, Seth asked me to go save us some seats and there were people sitting there so I did not get seats and told him. He left me to actually go ask them to move and I was even more uncomfortable! Anyways, long story short we got to our seats and I was kind of freaking out. Seth started asking me if I recognized where I was and if I knew why we were there. I was so confused and I literally said, "Seth, I have no idea where we are, I really don't recognize this". Seth being the loving compassionate person he is, crouched down in front of me and started calming me down and telling me how much he loved me. He got probably halfway through his speech and all of a sudden I saw my two best friends coming around the corner with cameras and when I looked back at Seth he was now on one knee holding a ring and asking me to marry him. Not gonna lie, easiest yes of my life. To be honest, it wasn't until later I realized why he took me to Song Bird: It was the place where he took his profile picture that first drew me in.
