FAQs + Covid Precautions

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We understand, all things considered, that last-minute changes and game-time decisions may need to be made with regards to attending our 2020 wedding. We ask that you keep us posted and try to firmly commit to the best of your ability by November 19th.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend staying at the beautiful, conveniently located Hewing Hotel. If you choose to stay there, please let them know you're part of the McMoore wedding for a special rate. Alternatively, the AC Hotel by Marriott (Downtown Minneapolis) is a great option.

Question

Can we join you virtually?

Answer

Absolutely! We are excited to be able to provide a live-stream "broadcast" of our ceremony for those who are unable to attend in-person. At 5pm CST on Saturday, December 19th, please go to www.madalynvphotography.com/livestream and enter the password: live2020

Question

What precautions are you asking guests to take, in order to ensure a safe gathering?

Answer

We get it-- a pandemic wedding is less than ideal, but we trust our families and friends to take reasonable precautions to ensure our big day is a safe one. In consideration of our higher-risk family members and guests, we ask that you do a combination of the following practices you are likely already doing: -Quarantine as much as possible for the 2 weeks leading up to our wedding -Stay home if you are sick -Wash your hands often -Wear a mask when unable to maintain a six-foot distance from others -Get a Covid test prior to our big day, especially if you are unable to quarantine. Google "asymptomatic Covid testing sites MN." Look for sites that are "accepting any asymptomatic patient" as many are solely accepting symptomatic patients. -Understand that different guests have different comfort levels and risk tolerances with regards to being around others-- some people may be comfortable with hugs and dancing, others may not-- and that's okay! When in doubt, ask.

Question

What precautions are your venue and vendors taking in order to ensure a safe environment?

Answer

Capacity: We expect that during the "peak hours" of our wedding (AKA, the reception, when we anticipate the most people will be there), our venue will be at only 25% capacity (roughly 35 people) -- which is half of what the state allows for gatherings at Watson Block during the Covid era. Sanitation: Venue staff will be wearing masks and gloves and will be sanitizing surfaces every 30 minutes. In order to limit multiple people touching the same thing, we have elected to have dinner and dessert served by staff instead of self-service. Distancing: Ceremony guests will be seated at their dinner tables, which will be spaced 6' apart and grouped by household to the best of our ability. There will not be the traditional "aisle" and rows of seats you typically see at a wedding.
