Our story began at High Point University in North Carolina, when Sean sat down next to Sarah in a freshman elective. His reasoning, by his own admission, was simple, he wanted to sit next to the cutest girl in the room. For a while we were just friends, seeing each other in class, hanging out here and there, no rush. That changed in the spring of 2018, when Sean was studying abroad in Florence. Sarah flew out to visit over spring break, and somewhere between the city, the gelato and the company, things clicked. Our first real dinner date actually happened on that trip, at Acqua al 2 in Florence. After graduation, life pulled us in different directions — Sarah to NYC for her master's in accounting, Sean back to Rochester for his MBA. Long distance wasn't easy, but at least we were in the same state, and we made it work, seeing each other at least once a month. A few months later, COVID changed everyone's plans. We both made a run for Florida to quarantine with Sean's family, trading uncertainty for sunshine. It was an unplanned adventure, to say the least. Sarah finished her master's that year and then moved up to Rochester so Sean could finish his MBA, where we lived for the next two years. Eventually we found our way back to New York City together this time. We loved it there, truly the best city in the world! The restaurants, the concerts, the nightlife and most of all having so many of our favorite people close by. In seven years of dating, we've moved apartments four times, traveled to thirteen U.S. states and five countries, and made more memories than we can count, many of them alongside the family and friends we love most. Most recently, we bought our first house and moved to Wellington, Florida. A new home, a new city, and a new chapter and we can't wait to see what comes next!
