All events are an easy Uber ride from the airport and around the city of San Diego, no car rental necessary.
Our wedding venue, the Nat, is in Balboa Park. While there are no hotels walking distance to the venue, there are no shortages of place to stay close by!
We are setting up base camp at the Marriot Marquis, and have a room block available- see below. Other major hotel chains have many options nearby across the Marina/Gaslamp, Convention Center areas. Waterfront views, not one but TWO museums on boats, and many other attractions in this bustling tourism and recreation area.
Hip neighborhoods like Hillcrest, North Park, and South Park are also an easy rideshare away, with more local activity versus tourist buzz.
Alternatives right next to the airport and still closeby include major hotel chains on Harbor Island, Liberty Station, and Shelter Island. Liberty Station is very walkable with many food options.
