This has been a lifelong favorite spot for the Wheeler family! Sarah would choose a pint of their Apricot Wheat over just about anything. Sam digs the crispy fries with their homemade Ranch. 10/10 would recommend.
This is a bit of a local secret. The Rustic has the best slice of pie in the area. Plus, you have to drive along Scenic 61 to get to the quaint restaurant. Take in all of the views of Lake Superior and the peak fall foliage as you head north towards Two Harbors.
After you finish a piece of pie at the Rustic, head for a hike at Gooseberry Falls. This popular North Shore park features spectacular waterfalls, scenic overlooks, a wonderful visitor center and superb trout fishing.
While there are plenty of local watering holes, this one is at the top of our list. Don't sleep on their wood-fired pizza either. Ursa Minor kicks off a row of breweries in West Duluth including Bent Paddle, Duluth Cider and Wild State Cider (among others). Cheers!
Hang out at one of the most historic restaurants in Duluth's Canal Park area, Grandma's Saloon & Grill. This restaurant is walkable from Pier B Resort and could be an option for dinner ahead of the welcome party. Order the onion rings, and thank us later.
This farm-to-table café was featured on Triple D (Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) and is arguably the top destination for a pre-wedding brunch. Go early as folks line up out the door on the weekends. It's superior after all. Have a pancake or two for us!
Arguably the best sandwich in the Twin Ports. Grab a pint next door at Bent Paddle and then chow down on a BLT.
