Is the venue indoor or outdoor?

Answer

the ceremony and reception will both be outside with beautiful lakeside views. The ceremony will be completely outdoors while dinner will be tented.

What is the weather like in June?

Answer

Late June in Northern Michigan usually has temperatures between 70*-80*. It can get a little chilly once the sun sets, so come prepared with a sweater just in case.

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Be mindful that the ceremony and reception will take place on a lakeside property so please wear comfortable shoes.

Can I book an Uber or Lyft?

Answer

Ride sharing apps are not abundant in northern Michigan. Our recommendation if flying is to rent a car at the airport, as there will be ample parking at the venue and we will be providing a shuttle to and from Shanty Creek Resort. Shuttle Schedule is as follows: 3:30pm - Pick up from Shanty Creek Resort Lobby 10pm-12:30am - Shuttles will pick up from Tapawingo and Rotate to Shanty Creek Resort throughout the evening, with the final drop off at Shanty Creek Resort at 12:30am.
