We found love on the pitch. Well, more through off-field Rugby events to be truthful. Sarah is a long-time member of the Shamrocks, Worcester's Women's Rugby team and Ryan joined the Worcester Men's team in 2018. About a year later, we shared a few laughs during the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Worcester. Ryan left soon afterwards, but showed back up at the bar to dance with Sarah. We had our first official date that week over tacos and that's when we both realized this could be something. Since then, we have shared too many laughs to count, many more meals and lots of adventures. We love to play cards and other games together, go on hikes and have been on some fun trips, including Burlington, VT and an amazing two days of hiking and beer in the White Mountains. We have begun to make Sarah's home into our home, preparing for the future. We make dinner together nearly every evening while talking about our days, our thoughts and feelings. Typically falling asleep together on the couch each night watching some competition TV show. We have been there for each other through tough losses on the pitch, and through injury. We have been there to celebrate the wins and fun on and off the field together too. We bend over backwards to make the other person happy, to make their day and life a little bit easier. We have built up complete trust in one another and balance the other beautifully. On December 4th, 2020 we got engaged. Ryan made dinner, we got dressed up and after some nervous moments watching the Disney short "Lava", he got on one knee. Excitedly, Sarah said yes and we were even able to take some photos with our immediate families that night and celebrate. We are both ready to kick off the next chapter of our lives together with our friends and family this November!
