How did anyone meet anyone in 2020? Hinge. Our first date was on a Sunday afternoon where Rob came from dental lab and Sarah came from a workout and met at Local Taco in Lexington, KY. At the time, Rob was in dental school at UK and Sarah was in a clinical placement for PT school in Lexington, KY. The date must have gone well because that Thursday night, they met at Tin Roof to grab a beer and some loaded tots before they drove to Nashville for the weekend! From there, they learned that if they could spend 3 hours in the car together without awkward silence, then maybe a relationship could work. It got a little complicated when Sarah left Lexington for her next clinical and the relationship started long distance. A year and a half later, Rob moved to Nashville!

Saturday afternoon, Robert and Anne started to tell Sarah and Rob a little white lie about the antebellum house his great grandmother grew up in. Of course her name was also Sarah but she was affectionately known as Gommie. They told Rob and Sarah that the house was going to be torn down in the next couple of weeks. Robert and Anne encouraged Sarah and Rob to drive over and see the house before it was destroyed. On Sunday morning on they way to brunch, Rob drove Sarah to see Gommie’s house. They started looking around the house when they went down her side steps. Sarah was suspicious and curious as to what was happening and started inspecting Rob’s pants for a ring box. After no sight of one, Sarah thought she truly was just looking at Gommie’s house. Rob was showing Sarah how to crack open a pecan under Gommie’s pecan trees when out popped Sarah’s ring. Quickly after, Rob was kneeling on the ground. It didn’t take Sarah long to say yes!! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Athens, GA!!
