Bride
Sarah is a boatload of fun and a barrel of laughs. If you don't know her, you should. Her kids and Richie are the light of her life. She loves to be involved in the community and reach out and help others. One of her greatest passions is beng blessed to have the time to teach her children about the amazing gift that God gave us in Jesus Christ, and to show them how we can use that gift and that love to spread hope and joy throughout the world to make our world a better place.
Groom
Richie loves Sarah, the beach, sunshine, and the Y. :) He has a quick wit and keeps Sarah laughing, even when things are at their not-so-goodest. He used to be a huge flirt, but now that Sarah has stolen his heart, not so much (or so he would have us believe). :) Blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauties will always have a special place in his heart, though. :)
Maid of Honor
Sarah and Liz have been friends since they were four, that's over thirty years of having each other's backs. Their friendship has lasted through school, growing up, moving away, moving back, moving away again, boyfriends, sickness, marriages, death, divorce, and having children. Absolutely NOTHING can break these two forces of nature up, so hopefully Richie knows what he's in for!!! ***and for the record, LIZ is the bad influence of the two. Just sayin'.***
Best Man
Always up for a good time, Steve will definitely keep Richie in line on the days leading up to our nuptuals. :) Richie and Steve have been friends for many years, their friendship is cemented in their shared love of quahogging and kayaking. Plus, Steve has been around Richie long enough to know all of his dirty little secrets- he simply can't get rid of him now.
Maid of Honor
I'm always saying that Michelle and I are "friends by default-" our girls are friends, and have been for years, so we *have* to be nice to each other, lol! She's the best friend I have up here, she's stood by me through it all, lived to tell the tale, and still sticks around... I'm not sure why, but I'm not asking, either! :) Michelle, you're the best friend anyone could ever ask for, so loyal and kind and giving, and I'm not sure what I did to be blessed with your friendship, but I hope I keep on doing it. Love you!!! :)
Best Man
Jack and Richie are fellow lifeguards and nature lovers, kayakers, and all-around good buddies. Richie has known Jack for years at the Y where they are both lifeguards and swim instructors. We know whenever we see Jack that his constant companion, his little pup Oscar, can't be far behind. Can't wait to share this day with the both of them!
Officiant
Taking Applications. Serious Applicants Only. Must love Jesus and the beach (Richie says not necessarily in that order, but Sarah tells him that he's kidding).
Juvenile Delinquent All-Star Team... I mean, our kids
Katy's eleven, going on 35, and often teaches us all about the things we wish we didn't know. Just last night she informed me, quite matter-of-factly, that there was no Easter Bunny, but she whispered it in bed so the boys wouldn't hear. Tall and beautiful, we just aren't ready for her to grow up quite so fast, but she thinks she's ready to take on the world, and she's thrilled to pieces about- and I quote- "finally being a Newbert." :) Jack and Elijah are the world's sweetest boys. They have their struggles, but no one will ever find two more kind-hearted, generous, empathetic young men. They work so hard to control their "big emotions" and keep life under control, they've come such a long way, I'm so proud of them.
