Question

What do I need to enter the base?

Answer

Since Admiral Kidd is located on a military base, they will require all adults to present a valid US ID. Please provide us with your first and last name as it appears on your ID (if it does not match Facebook or your wedding invite). We will submit the list of guests two weeks before the wedding date. If any names are not on the list, they will not be permitted to enter the base.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1st, 2022. This will allow us enough time to create and submit our final guest list to the venue.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking on base. Please follow driving instructions when you enter the gate, and the venue will be to the right.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 5pm. No late guests will be seated once the ceremony begins. Setup begins at 4pm. We highly recommend arriving early, by 4:30pm, to allow time for your check in at the gate, to park, and be seated.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

YES! All invitations we are sending include your family and kids. Just keep in mind that the reception ends at 11pm.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please do let us know with your RSVP if you have any food allergies. We will do our best to accommodate and check which foods are safe for you to eat.

Question

What is NOT allowed on base?

Answer

No outside food or drinks are allowed, and any outside alcoholic drinks will be confiscated. DO NOT bring any outside alcohol- the event will end if anyone is caught. Beverages are also not allowed on the dance floor, and shoes must be worn at all times. In addition, no leftover food or drinks may be taken from the reception area. Lastly, the base will not allow sand, glitter, rice, or flower petals. There is a fine for bringing any of these items on base.

Question

How will the reception be different than a traditional American reception?

Answer

We will be blending together our Cambodian and American cultural wedding traditions. The reception will include several changes into traditional Cambodian outfits. Unlike the classic white dress and dark suit for the American ceremony, the Cambodian clothes are styled differently with more vibrant colors. Question

What is a wishing well, and why is the wedding registry so small?

Answer

We are still searching for a place to live together. Since we do not have our own space together yet, the bulk of our registry will be in gift cards and a wedding fund. We will also have a wishing well in the reception area for cash gifts.

Question

Who can I contact if I have any questions?

Answer

Please feel free to call or text either of us! Our phone numbers are on the wedding invites.
