Eighteen years in the making. Absolutely worth the wait. We first met at twenty years old, working side by side at Panuello’s. Sarah was a hostess juggling shifts with classes at the University of Central Florida, and Peter was a waiter with a knack for making everyone laugh. We were in completely different seasons of life, but Peter always sensed something special. Over the years, he stayed in touch, occasionally asking Sarah out, always patient, always consistent, and somehow always at exactly the wrong time. Even before we were “us,” Peter found quiet ways to support and encourage Sarah from afar as she moved from city to city, trying to find where she belonged. His belief never wavered, even when Sarah didn’t yet realize that her place was always meant to be with him. Then, fifteen years later, the timing finally aligned. On April 9, 2022, Peter convinced Sarah that he was, in fact, well worth her time. What followed didn’t feel new; it felt familiar, steady, and right. Reconnecting felt like falling in love for the first time and remembering something at the same time. From that first date on, we were inseparable. Life began moving quickly, and always together. Peter supported Sarah as she relocated from Melbourne back to the Orlando area, and less than a year later, Sarah was right by Peter’s side as we packed up our little family zoo: two dogs, Gracie and Thor, and two cats, Charlie and Benji, and moved to Atlanta for a career opportunity that would change our lives. As our lives blended, so did the rhythms of our days. We learned what it meant to build something shared: cheering on our favorite teams (from Detroit Lions Sunday-Fundays to UCF game days), hiking whenever we could escape outside, planning trips near and far, and spending slow weekends wandering farmers markets and discovering hidden gems around the city. In those ordinary moments, our partnership deepened, and “together” began to feel like home. Through every transition, we found that having each other as a grounding partner and steady foundation became the heart of our relationship. Our love is built on trust, dependability, shared hope, and the commitment to grow together every day. Growing in our faith, especially through Sarah’s conversion to Catholicism, has shaped the confidence and peace we feel as we step into this next chapter. We are endlessly grateful for our families, whose love, guidance, and support shaped us into who we are and continue to encourage us as we build a life together. Now, on April 9, 2026, we are overjoyed to celebrate our marriage with our family and loved ones during an intimate Catholic Mass at our home parish, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, in St. Mary’s Chapel, followed by dinner at one of our favorite riverfront restaurants. It took time, and the right season, for our love to begin. Now that we’ve found our way to each other, we can’t wait for all the adventures still ahead.
