It was 2015, both Nicolas and Sarah's sophomore year of high school at Gloucester County Institute of Technology. Nicolas was in the electrical program, and Sarah was in the performing arts program. Both looking to survive high school, not anticipating to stumble upon their best friend for life. Sarah walks into her Spanish class with friends. They find seats in the front of the class. As they are finding their seats, Nicolas walks in with his friends. She can't help, but notice that they all look like walking Carhartt catalogs. They stagger in, with toothpicks in their mouth. Sarah and her friends can't help, but roll their eyes. Trade boys... But, there was something about the one that made her heart flutter. From then on, everyday Sarah got more curious about the shy, trade boy who sported the occasional tooth pick. Sarah went through her close friends to see if anyone knew him. Her friend Skyler actually went to Guardian Angels with him during middle school. Better yet, Skyler still had his phone number saved from middle school. I think you can guess what happened next. They try the phone number. He answers. Agh!!! It worked! Skyler explains how her friend thinks he's cute, and that she would like to exchange phone numbers. He agrees. Little did he know, this would be his future wife. Sarah and Nicolas began to talk all summer of 2015. They quickly learn that they have lived only 8 minutes from each other their whole lives. But boy, did they live different lives. They learned more and more about one another. Their relationship felt so comfortable, yet exhilarating at the same time. They ended up making it "official" on January 29th, 2016 at their Junior Formal. Boyfriend and girlfriend. From then on, they made history. They were able not only to grow up together, but grow together. They graduated high school in 2017, and continued to achieve their goals. Nicolas continued to work in the electrical trade, and Sarah went to college. They saved up knowing that in the future they wanted to establish themselves, find a place they can call home, and start a family. Here they are, in 2023, looking to officially tie the knot to become husband and wife. They are eager to have their friends and family join them on their special day in the Lord's house.
