FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah Wessling and Nick Tarkany Jr
Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Everything is taking place indoors at Wenzel Distillery in Covington, at 15 Tobacco Alley, Covington, KY 41011.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Details coming soon via mailed invites. Stay tuned.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We request that everyone adheres to cocktail attire and up (think nice dresses for women and jacket and pants for men, or nicer). We want everyone to get excited about dressing up for the occasion and help make our wedding a classy event.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay under venue capacity. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Question

Are Children allowed?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only event.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have a few hotel recommendations based on your preferences. Check out our Travel page.

Question

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

There are a limited number of family and friends that will be included in the rehearsal dinner, by special invitation. However, to make sure we can get time with everyone that wants to join up, there will be a casual gathering at Braxton Brewing Co in Covington on Friday, April 24, with a start time loosely planned for around 7pm.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Immediately following the ceremony, the cocktail hour will start in the front of the Wenzel Distillery while the wedding party finishes taking pictures. The bar will open and there will be light hors d'oeuvres, distillery tours (if desired), and other entertainment. We invite you to toast to our nuptials with a curated selection of wine, beer from Nick’s Heavier Than Air Brewing Co, and our signature cocktails.

Question

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Following cocktail hour we will have a buffet dinner. We will have two meat options and one vegetarian option that we request you select when you RSVP. If you have any special dietary restrictions, please note in your RSVP selection.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We're thrilled to have you celebrate with us and know that since many people are traveling to join us so your presence is more than enough! However, if you feel like contributing further towards our lives together, we have a few big item funds we’re working towards and a small registry at Crate and Barrel listed on the Registry page.

Question

Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?

Answer

Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, restaurants, and entertainment spots to visit before or after the wedding.

Question

Will transportation be provided between the to and from the hotel, ceremony and reception?

Answer

With such a close proximity to the hotel options, no transportation will be provided to the wedding venue. Rideshares are available throughout the city (Uber, Lyft, etc), and for those that prefer to walk, we recommend the Marriott hotel and is only two blocks from the venue. For those at the 21C, Hilton Netherlands, or staying at another venue, it’s a short ride across the river to the venue and is technically walkable if you’re looking for an adventure and the weather allows. Check out our "Travel" page for links and more details.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There are a number of paid parking garages nearby, as well as street parking. For those staying at the Marriott, it is only a two block walk to the venue.

Question

Can we take photos at the Ceremony?

Answer

In short, yes, however we encourage everyone to be present and limit the use of cell phones throughout the wedding ceremony, and use discretion when you do. As an additional note, we request that you turn off ringers, alarms and any other sounds your phone might make. We have a photographer that will be capturing the day and we’ll do our best to share those images to you all. Additionally, in order to have some fun with each of the tables, we will have one disposable film camera per dinner table and encourage people to document the fun during the reception at their tables.

Question

I still have questions. What is the best way to contact you?

Answer

Shoot us an email at our joint account, sarahandnick26@gmail.com, or send us a text. If you have a question on the day of the wedding, our friend and planner will be able to help. We are so excited to see you soon!
