Nathan Winiecki

and

Sarah Gaskin

May 30, 2026

Siloam Springs, AR

Our Story

It all started when Sarah moved to Arkansas and began working at Living Well, the same counseling agency Nathan worked at. While they built a solid friendship, enjoyed talking to one another, bantering back and forth, and taking turns pranking one another, God began to work in their lives to bring them together as more than friends. Nathan had no plans or desire to get married again, he would even tell people “don’t wish that on me!” He was content to be the best dad to Parker, and work. However, when Nathan met Sarah the Lord began to change his heart and mind about getting married again. Sarah had been praying for the Lord to bring a Godly man into her life, someone she could do ministry with. As Sarah and Nathan began to build a friendship, she came to admire Nathan’s character, leadership, and relationship with God. While it took some time for her to recognize her feelings, her family and close friends already knew that she had fallen for Nathan by the way she talked about him. Once Sarah realized her feelings for Nathan, she began to pray about him. The more she prayed, the more Nathan began to reach out and text about things other than work. On May 28th, 2025, Nathan and Sarah had a conversation where they realized they both had feelings for one another and began dating. Shortly after, Sarah got to meet Parker and has enjoyed building a fun relationship with him! From watching Parker be a leader on and off the basketball court, to teaming up together to give Nathan a hard time, Sarah is proud to call him her future bonus son!

The Proposal

October 21st, 2025

Nathan asked Sarah if she would want to join him for a work event on October 21st and she said yes. When he picked her up from work he told her that he had gotten the date wrong and the work event was the following week. He asked if she wanted to get dinner, he had found a gluten free restaurant and made reservations. After they finished eating, Nate suggested going to Lake Atalanta one more time before it got too cold. Once they arrived at the park and began walking to their usual bench, Sarah heard violin music. They sat down on their bench and Nathan asked Sarah to marry him, and she said “YES!”
