Our story began in January 2015. We were attending San Joaquin Delta College at the time, and we met in the Digital Art class that we were both taking that semester. After Miguel decided to sit next to Sarah in that class one day and for quite a few more days throughout the semester, we became class acquaintances. Then, as we ended up in more of the same art classes over the next 2 years, we became good friends. We shared a love for art and being artistic and creative back then, and we still do. Sarah transferred from Delta College to UC Davis to continue studying Art and earn her Bachelors Degree, while Miguel stayed in Stockton missing Sarah, but more importantly, he started his career. Fast forward to the end of 2020, Miguel found himself wanting to reach out to Sarah to say “hi” and reconnect. We reconnected a month later, and in early 2021, we started writing each other, sending messages back and forth, and we finally reunited in person. The messages continued and turned into late-night phone calls. Soon, we were having our first date, where Miguel gifted Sarah her first succulent, instead of flowers (which she loved) and we had planned an art date at the park, but it never quite happened because it became the first day of endless smiles and laughs we would share together. Two weeks later, we were boyfriend and girlfriend! We quickly became each other’s best friend. Before we knew it, we had been dating for a year, and by then we already knew we had found the person we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with. January 21, 2023 was our engagement day. It was a little bit of a surprise, but Sarah did know it was going to happen soon. We had already been talking about being engaged for a few months and had started to think about our wedding by this day. We are so excited to be celebrating our love and sharing our day with the ones we love! All our love, Sarah and Miguel
