Sparks flew at the Roosevelt Middle School/East Tipp 8th Grade basketball game on December 4, 2014. Sarah almost didn't go to the game because she didn't want to straighten her hair... (shoutout Momma T for volunteering to do so and driving her there[and eventually driving Sarah around every weekend to see him.]) But she's so glad she did because during the B-Team game, a longtime friend and classmate of Sarah's also happened to have played AAU with Miggie. After chatting with Miggie, said friend waltzed over to Sarah and her friends and said the fateful words "Miguel wants your number." (SOOOOOO 8th grade) With him not being a total and complete stranger (thank you Insta) she said yes and they have sent hundreds of thousands of texts in the days since. After nine months of texts, facetimes, and cringey comments on each others posts, the two very busy, now high school freshman, finally get to hang out. They went to the movies to see 'Vacation' (shoutout Lorena for driving us.) and after they got back, they had their first kiss on Miggie's couch. They stay strong all four years of high school through sports, grades, and allllll the crises that teenagers inevitably go through. Beyond that they support each other through college, work, and alllll the crises that young adults inevitably go through. As they get older, their love grows even stronger and in February 2025, they decide they are finally ready to move in together. A week later, they somehow found their perfect little yellow starter home, and moved in March of 2025. Two months later they welcomed their first child. Fur child, obviously!! Their lives have been full of loving on Ruby and figuring out how to be 'real' adults ever since! Sarah, Miggie, and Ruby are currently living happily ever after, and are all counting down the days until they all have the same last name!
