Emily and Sarah became friends their senior year of High School at RS Central High. Emily convinced Sarah to play soccer, and even though Sarah sat on the bench most of the year, she was there to support her friend Emily. They moved to UNC Charlotte together where they grew their friendship. Beyond college, they have stayed best friends despite not living in the same city since.
Keira Singleton

Keira and Sarah became friends in High School at RS Central High. Keira was just a Sophomore and Sarah was a Senior. After both went to college and graduated they reconnected after moving back to Rutherford County. They supported one another through the pandemic emotionally and physically. Keira has been like a little sister to Sarah.

Jenna and Sarah met when Sarah was 11 years old and Jenna was 14 years old. Through their mothers' friendship they became like family. Jenna helped Sarah navigate her freshman year of college as Jenna was a senior at UNC Charlotte. Sarah was also a bridesmaid in Jenna's wedding.

Emily and Sarah met when Sarah attended Emily's wedding as Michael's date. When Sarah and Michael started to date, Sarah and Emily formed a friendship. Emily has embraced Sarah with open arms and accepted her fully into the Mellnik family.
Jada Edwards

Jada and Sarah met in middle school through cheerleading. They were friends in high school and reconnected after moving back to Rutherford County after college. They grew up together. They have been friends for many years. Sarah is grateful for the Edward's family embracing her as one of their own during her time growing up.
Simona Dinovetskiy

Simona and Sarah have known each other since high school. Their friendship began in college. Simona is also a close friend of Michael's as well. After Simona briefly returned to Rutherford County during the pandemic, they would go on camping and rafting adventures together. Simona now resides in the Netherlands, and will return to celebrate two of her close friends getting married!

Kelsey and Sarah met just a few years ago through Dave and Michael's friendship. Since then, they have become great friends! Living only two streets from each other they walk the dogs together, go hiking together, and occasionally tag along with the guys when they go golfing.
Shannon Hines

Shannon and Sarah recently established their friendship. Although they attended high school together, Shannon was a couple years ahead. After both moved back to Rutherford County, they discovered they were both in the education world. Since then, their friendship has grown while trying to navigate being young educators together.

Michael spent more time with John growing up than anyone else; he lived right though the woods from Michael. They built forts in the woods, played basketball together, and stayed connected all through college. Michael is honored that he was the best-man in John's wedding and thankful he agreed to be the best-man in his.
Hunter Lutz

Hunter was Michael's first friend he ever had. Their moms met in church before they were born and their families have shared many memories since then. Michael appreciates the love and support he has received from Hunter and the Lutz family to this day.

Maddox and Michael first met playing Rumble Soccer when they were little; sports and exercising has kept their friendship strong and active. They shared little time in school together but have still remained close to one another wherever they are. No matter where life takes them, they always remain well-connected.
Lance Cope

Lance and Michael met playing Rumble soccer together as little kids; their parents were the managers of the team. They later reconnected their Freshman year at UNC Charlotte and have been very close ever since. Michael is very glad Lance has moved back to their hometown and will be happy to see Lance standing beside him on his special day.
Andrew Tugman

When Michael's sister started dating Andrew 10 years ago he knew Andrew was going to be his brother-in-law and a great lifelong friend. They have become very close friends over the past 10 years by watching the Panthers lose, the Hornets lose, and the Charlotte 49ers lose. Michael looks forward to making more memories with Andrew and watching his family grow.

Michael met Dave for the first time 6 years ago at his parents house for a dinner party. They instantly connected through golf, beers, and having the same unique humor. Michael is very glad Dave moved to North Carolina from Indiana because he has been a big part of Michael's life since they met.
Eric Tokay

Eric lived three doors down from Michael on the 11th floor of their Freshman year dorm. They bonded through music, both being business majors, and other things.... Eric later became Michael's roommate over the next 5 years with him in Charlotte and they have been great friends since they met.
Konner Munjas

Konner and Michael have been friends since 6th grade and they played many sports together including Soccer, Cross-Country, and Track. Michael has many memories with Konner and his family of camping, going to church together, and visiting each other while in college. Konner and Michael have remained great friends since they met.
