We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Michael and I met in the midst of a crazy night shift in the ER of Rhode Island Hospital. He was bringing in one of our regulars and of course, I was the nurse. I walked into the patient's room just as Michael was arguing with him about using the bathroom and telling him he was not being uncuffed and he could go in the bed :/. Wasn't the least bit impressed with that response at all, but honestly was the least of my problems at that moment. The second time I entered the room, the patient was about to spit in Michael's face and Michael took him by the shirt collar and had a few choice words. Again, inappropriate to say in front of me. Strike two Michael! After that night, we crossed each other's paths on multiple occasions in the romantic emergency department of the hospital. Our first date was on January 13th, 2019 and Michael drove all the way to "the Riv" to meet for drinks and then dinner at The Boat House. I almost fell in the parking lot (which most of you who know me know this is not out of the ordinary. Shut it Padrino!!). Michael was convinced I was drunk to get me through the first date but I hadn't even had a drink yet! He pretended to like the Patriots even though I soon found out he is a die-hard Bears fan! ( did not get easy approval of him from my best friend who is a Packer's fan. Now they share this incredible love/hate relationship). Fast forward two and a half years and Michael decided to take me one afternoon, after his golf tournament, to Jamestown, RI to a restaurant "on the water". We drove up to this parking lot surrounded by trees and the Jamestown Public Works building to the left of us. As he parked, I said "I don't see a restaurant here. You put in the wrong address." He then led me down through Taylor Point and he proposed. And here we are today :) .. ohh and that original patient will be getting an invite to the wedding ;)
