For the Nuptial Mass at 3:00 p.m.: - PLEASE arrive early. - All guests (2 and older) are required to wear a mask and sit with their household. - There will be specific guidelines in regards to the reception of Holy Communion and exiting the church. Details to come. The Mass WILL be live-streamed! Please see our "Schedule" page for detail. For the Dinner afterwards: - Masks will be required at all times except when eating or drinking. Your health and well-being are of utmost importance to us. Please do not feel obliged to attend if you are uncomfortable or concerned about health risks. We understand and respect your decision to do what is best for you, and we ask that you promptly RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Any modifications or additions to these guidelines will be communicated to you before the wedding. Please also continue checking our website for updates.
Children are not encouraged to attend. Not only is the guest count very limited, but the dinner venue is located on the water, which we fear could be unsafe for small children. Exceptions can be made for infants and children who are still breastfeeding.
When Matt and Sarah first met, Matt still lived on the Eastern Shore and Sarah lived in Silver Spring, MD. Annapolis was a fun half-way meeting place for dates walking through downtown, trying new restaurants, sitting by the water, and seeing their friends at Theology on Tap nights. They also felt that Annapolis was a central location for both of their families to travel to.
Sarah and Matt's dates often began with prayer in the Adoration Chapel and ended with hours of talking in the parking lot of Saint Mary's. Not to mention, Saint Mary's is one of the most beautiful churches they have ever seen.
With so much uncertainty going on, you might be wondering why we wouldn't postpone our wedding. As much as most girls dream of their "perfect" wedding (and I certainly did), the Lord is not calling me to have a wedding and wedding reception. He is calling me to the Sacrament of Marriage and to a covenant with Him and Matt, regardless of what the world looks like at the time. April 10, 2021 is the first Saturday after Easter and one of the most joy-filled times of the year. It is the time when we celebrate Christ's victory over death and our new life in Him as believers. I could not have asked for a better time to begin my new life in the Sacrament of Marriage. - Sarah What she said. - Matt
