Our story began in 2016 at Emory University, during our sophomore year. Sarah was studying with her friend in a shared dorm space when Marshall happened to walk by and the moment he saw her, he couldn’t help but stop. He walked right up, looked deeply into her eyes, introduced himself, and not long after, asked for her number. Sarah “ignored” his messages for an entire week but only because in a twist of fate, she had broken both her phone and laptop in the same week (classic). Once her devices were fixed, everything just clicked. Within a few short months, we were spending nearly every day together, quickly becoming inseparable. Not even a semester-long trip to Bali for Marshall could keep us apart. In fact, we officially began dating while doing long distance- navigating time zones, scheduling FaceTime calls, and falling in love one message at a time. Since then, we’ve built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and deep, unwavering love in both Atlanta and Brooklyn. Now, nearly a decade later, we’re still each other’s favorite person. We’ve grown together side by side, experienced the highs and lows of our 20s, explored the world hand in hand, and fallen more in love with every season of life. We can’t wait to begin this next chapter surrounded by the people we love most.
