Two Ohio natives meet in Nashville. Sarah moved to Nashville to begin a new adventure in her career. Mark moved to Nashville as a part of a rotational program. Mark showed up for a job training wearing a polo that may or may not have been too fitted. Sarah tried to poke fun but was completely smitten by Mark's good looks. Work dinners turned into late nights on Broadway. Nashville created date nights full of off-rhythm dance moves and singing country music off key. Mark moved back to Columbus and a year of long distance created a foundation of strong communication, planned meet ups to explore new cities, and exciting conversations planning the future.
On our way to a Thanksgiving brunch on Sunday, November 18th, Mark said his parents wanted to take Christmas card photos in Sarah's favorite park in German Village, Frank Fetch Park. As Mark and Sarah approached the park, Mark said he had a surprise for her. Mark took Sarah by the hand and explained that this was not a normal holiday brunch after all. Then, he got down on one knee and proposed! As Mark was proposing, Mark and Sarah's families came running (Mylah's toy baby carrier, Jones-Jared and Chelsea's dog, cameras, cheers and all!) While Mark and Sarah were greeted with hugs, a hidden photographer, Lauren Mills, captured the joyful moments. Sarah was completely surprised. Mark was super proud. Together, Mark and Sarah were so excited and thankful for their families being part of their engagement story.
