Our Story

How a Part Time Job Led to a Full Time Partner

We met in the summer of 2019 at Fiesta Texas—both of us working in Rides. I remember seeing Mark walk past me at Bugs’ White Water Rapids, but honestly? I didn’t think much of him at first. Then we got placed opposite each other on the ride. We realized we both loved theme parks, but let’s just say the sparks weren’t exactly flying right away. As the summer went on, we started hanging out more—grabbing Whataburger after shifts, hitting up late-night spots with our coworkers. By fall, we were inseparable, studying together at the library, picking up shifts to work side by side, and going to all the employee parties together. We officially started dating in December of that year. Fast forward six years, and we’re still as close as ever. Mark even surprised me with a trip to Disney World while we were in Florida, checking out the newly opened Epic Universe theme park. It was pouring rain that day, but somehow, the clouds parted just in time for him to get down on one knee. Of course, I said yes! Now, we’re just counting down the days until we say “I do.”
