The two of us met right before the world shut down in early 2020. Our first date was in downtown Fayetteville at a pool hall called Sideways. This was a particularly empty night for the bar, so we practically had the whole place to ourselves. It was just us and really old episodes of Family Feud playing throughout the bar. We played for hours talking and laughing. Laughing hard. This seemed different than other first dates. It was like swapping stories with a life long friend. Before you know it, we start seeing each other more and more often. As our relationship was ramping up, the world began to shut down. 2020 taught us all so many things. For us, it was an opportunity to REALLY get to know someone for all their quirks; the takeout preferences, reality tv guilty pleasures, and everything in between. Since then we have been nearly inseparable. Over the last five years, we’ve built something really amazing together, and we cannot wait to continue to travel and make memories as a married couple.
