Point Dume trail in Malibu
Hike along the the cactus lined trails of Point Dume. The trail takes you to the very top with plenty of spots along the way to watch sea lions and dolphins play in the waves. You may even spot a rock climber or two rappelling down the rock face.
El Matador State Beach
One of the best beaches to catch the sunset. Filled with natural bridges, tide pools and cliffs.
Catch a show at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon
The drive along Topanga Canyon Road is absolutely charming. The moment you step on the premises you feel transported. They often do a rotation of shows so check their website for the latest showtimes and tickets.
Griffith Observatory
Take in views of the Hollywood sign, mountains, downtown and the ocean. A visit to the observatory is donation based, check their schedule for events like star gazing nights and star talks. Touch an asteroid, view the Tesla coil, and see how much you'll weigh on the moon. You can get there by either hiking up from the trailhead at Trails Cafe on Fernwood Dr. or drive and park at the top.
Live Jazz at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art)
Go early, browse the La Brea Tar pits, take a walk through the park and then pitch a blanket and catch a free Jazz concert in the park!
Ojai Valley Day Trip
Explore the small town of Ojai known for its art galleries, shops, wine tasting and outdoor trails. Our favorite grab-and-go taco/burrito spot is the Ojai Tortilla House. Our favorite lunch spot with a view of the mountains is Zaidee's Bar & Grill on the golf course. Our favorite place to walk around and enjoy a relaxing cocktail or coffee by an outdoor fire-pit is the rolling property of the historic Ojai Valley Inn.
