We hope you can join us in celebrating the beginning of our lives together.

How We Met

First comes love, then comes marriage

This is an ongoing debate of the exact facts... What we can agree upon is We met online Kevin randomly asked Sarah to go to River Hill Grill due to being in the area after visiting a friend. It was slightly awkward... someone may have said that a few times... Enough to think there would be no second date And yet, somehow, there was a second date, and we are pretty grateful for that!

Proposal

SARAH'S VERSION: June 29, 2018 was notably one of my best birthdays. It was the day Kevin asked me to marry him in Sunset Park in Ocean City. It was perfect. We had a lovely dinner at Shark on the Harbor and had a great time. We somehow got the perfect table by a window without a reservation. (This would only happen to Kevin). Afterwards, I noticed a band playing across the street and asked if we wanted to go there. This didn't phase him at all! By this point, I had convinced myself it was not happening that night, but maybe another. We somehow agreed to stick to the plans and head to sunset park, little did I know what was about to happen. We had found sunset park a few years ago on one of our many trips to Ocean City Maryland. It is peaceful and beautiful little place where you watch the sun melt into the horizon as you can hear the roller coasters from the boardwalk in the distance. There are small birds darting across the sand and all seems right in the world. This was the perfect place for Kevin to ask me to marry him. I love that it is a place filled with countless memories for Kevin and his family and now holds a special place for us.

Kevin's Version

I checked out many places with family and friends to find a ring for Sarah including Sergio’s Jewelers. I was ready to give up, until the jeweler called me back and told me he thought he found the one. I went one final time to see the ring, and it spoke to me and was perfect for her. The ring was burning a hole in my pocket, and I didn’t know quite how to propose until Sarah said she wanted to go to Sunset park at sunset on her birthday as we had done many trips before (Sarah disputes this claim, yet this is Kevin’s version so we will keep going… ) I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to propose because she loves sunset park and we would often visit on our trips to Ocean City. The day started with her favorite breakfast, gluten free pancakes at Layton’s on 92nd street. We went to dinner at Shark on the Harbor. We had a very nice dinner. When we were leaving, Sarah heard a band across the street and she wanted to go. I was calm, cool, and collected and ready to adjust my plans, yet I reminded Sarah that we would miss sunset at the park. We drove over and got to Sunset park 12 minuets before sunset. We sat on a bench, and I waited until sunset to tell Sarah how she was my best friend, my soul mate, and the best thing that ever happened to me. Right at sunset I got down on one knee and asked Sarah to do me the honor of being my wife. She said yes, and when I went to put the ring on her finger, she attempted to give me her right hand and I kept swatting it away each time. There were about 10 people there at a time, and they all clapped for us as we celebrated. (Sarah has no recollection of this part) As if I thought I couldn’t be happier, it was great to watch Sarah jump up and down as she was calling her friends and family.
