Yes, you will need a valid US Passport to travel to the Dominican Republic.

There are multiple RIU properties, which one do I choose?

Answer

Please make sure you are booking with RIU Palace Bavaro. This is where all events for the wedding ceremony and reception are happening.

Do I have to book through the RIU website?

Answer

No, you do not have to book direct through the website. There are many 3rd party sites (booking.com for example) that you can book through as well! Please just make sure you are selecting RIU Palace Bavaro as the hotel.

Is the hotel all inclusive?

Answer

Yes, all food and drinks at bars and restaurants on property are included. Tipping is at your discretion.

Do all major credit cards work?

Answer

Yes, all major credit cards work. You may be asked if you want to be charged in Dominican Pesos or American Dollars.

Do I need to exchange dollars for Dominican Pesos?

Answer

No, we recommend bringing cash for tips so that you can tip your staff on site (housekeeping, bartenders, waiters, butlers, etc.) They accept American Dollars

Is it safe to go off-site?

Answer

There are several things to do on property. Should you want to go off-site, yes, it is safe. Please reference the Things to Do tab for recommended things to do off site.

Do we need special electrical adapters for electronics?

Answer

No, standard US plugs for phones, laptops, hairdryer, curling irons, etc will work.
