At first terrified of the competition, Kendell begrudgingly came to accept and later to love his younger brother, Richard. Rich is a deep, creative soul with a love for adventure and a zany sense of humor. He is also extremely affectionate. Together, they have been through many formative experiences and remain closest of friends to this day.

Father of the Groom

Kendell's father Kenneth serves as his earliest and most enduring example of sensitive masculinity. Kenneth, known in some sectors as Mad Dog, dedicated his entire heart to raising his two boys, and for that he forever has theirs. From him, the groom learned many things, including work ethic, responsibility, respect for others, and the totality of the banana. Kendell's chief inheritances from his Dad include a dry sense of humor and a love of nature, history, photography, and travel.

Laura

Mother of the Groom

The groom's graceful mother, Laura, showed her sons how to view the world with imagination and curiosity. From her, Kendell learned to appreciate the beauty in art, language, cinema, and the Crownfish. From her Loumeau side he also inherited some French genes, which his father has never stopped trying to suppress. Laura balanced several careers with absolute commitment to family, and never stopped smiling, laughing, and creating. Laura is a mother nonpareil and the groom is forever indebted to her for her gifts of wit, wisdom, and joie de vivre.

Iris

Iris is one of Sarah’s oldest friends from high school. Iris had many sleepovers at her house in high school and Sarah always loved going to them. Iris currently resides in California with her husband.

Devin

Groomsman

Known occasionally as Momma Bear, Devin is one of the groom’s oldest and truest friends, a genuine gentleman with the heart of an elephant and the most melodious whistle this side of the Mississippi. Imbued with a sense of wanderlust shared by the groom, Devin has hospitably welcomed Kendell to two states and two disenfranchised territories, and has aided him in many a time of philosophical crisis. He is dependable, dapper, and definitely dope, and the groom is graced by his friendship.

Betty

Bridesmaid

Betty and Sarah met in Grenada in the Caribbean. Betty’s friendship got Sarah through some of the most trying times in medical school and post graduate training. Betty currently resides in Georgia with her beautiful family and is an Emergency Room doctor and a super mom!

Evan

Groomsman

The groom met Evan in Kindergarten, when he was moved to tears by the sight of a boy whom he thought was blind but later discovered only needed correctional lenses. Together in glasses, Panda and Grizz dreamt of incipient Bears as they passed cold nights together on cot-t-t-ts on Boy Scout camping trips or enjoyed conversation before the warm glow of a soft flame. They share a wicked puckishness which is tempered by their more-or-less levelheadedness. Soaring eagle Evan remains Kendell’s oldest friend and ally in all circumstances except in games of global domination.

Phuong

Phuong is one of Sarah’s oldest friends from high school. Phuong is very good at playing the murderer in Mafia. Phuong currently resides in California with her husband and works as a pharmacist.

Sebastian

Groomsman

This eucalypt loving lad has been an integral part of the groom's life since the time they decided to take their trumpet and clarinet and start a band, or rather signed up for band in middle school. They have bonded especially over literature, music, and cinema, exchanging their Pynchon, McCarthy, and DeLillo novels, listening to David Crosby and Mavis Staples at Newport or the fourth time around to Dylan, and seeking out the best arthouse cinemas. Kendell's forever hiking companion and designated photographer, Sebastian is a truly well groomed man.

Rana

Bridesmaid

Rana and Sarah met in Grenada. Rana and Betty together were Sarah’s gang and confidant. Rana currently works and resides in Pennsylvania.

Ryan

Groomsman

It took the frostiest of the bears to show Kendell the way forward into matrimony. In fact, Ryan has been present at many of the groom's most formative experiences, whether learning to lift weights in preparation for drama club or discovering new ways to train for chorus. Whether in Ringwood or Queens, these two have traversed many a windy mile on foot to get together and jam on the guitar over a steaming hot toddy and there is no distance they will shrink from in order to maintain their close friendship.

Eric

Eric and Sarah met at a social event in NYC. Eric and Sarah were neighbors and eventually through Eric and his fiancé, Sarah met Ken. Eric currently resides in NYC and works as an architect.

JJ

Groomsman

From the time that JJ jokingly told Ken to go home as a child and he did, the two have been linked in a bond of goofiness and creative exchange. Drawn together in high school especially by band, drama club, and their love for classic rock bands, the labiated bear has also collaborated with the groom in the production of many widely acclaimed songs ("Everyone," "Last Night") and short films ("As the Electrons Spin," "The Boy who Became a Dog," "Spring Lake Massacre"). More recently, the groom has appeared as a guest star on JJ's "Divided Films" Podcast. JJ is the mutual glue that helped cement Kendell's early relationship with Sarah, and Kendell will always stick to him for the terrific friend he is.

Monsee

Ring Bearer

Monsee is the cutest dog and the beloved pet of Sarah and Ken. He loves turkey and hates children. He currently has many residences in NYC, Michigan, and NJ. He juggles his time back and forth between the residences as his humans fight for his affection.
