When I was in 9th grade I transfered to Benton Junior high. We lived pretty far from the school, so I had to ride the bus. While on the bus I saw this boy sitting in a seat all by himself, occasionally looking at me. He did that quite often while I was on there, but I never really thought anything of it. Well except that I thought he was pretty cute. That boy was Justin. About a year later my family moved closer in town and I no longer had to ride the bus. So, I only saw him at school. Time goes on and eventually we both graduate high school, and had never even said two words to each other throughout the years. One day he finds me on social media and followed me on Instagram. I knew right away who he was. He then messages me and I asks if I rememer him. Of course I said yes, then we start talking and catching up. After a few months, we drifted apart and began dating other people. Then one day we started messaging each other again, started hanging out, and getting to know each other better. I kept thinking that there is something about him, I could not get him out of my mind. One day we both shared our feelings for each other and decided that we should start dating. Then on January 1, 2018, just two minutes after midnight, Justin asked me to be his girlfriend. From there we have laughed with each other, loved one another, and have grown together in so many ways. After spending just a few months with him, I knew he was the one.
On December 22, 2019, we went to my grandparents house to have Christmas with my family, because that was the only time some of them were going to be in town. As soon as we get to my grandparents’ house, Justin tells me he has to go to my dad’s house to get my gift because they bought it together. I thought it was strange that he did that, and the way he was acting seemed a bit off. Once he came back the whole family decided to have breakfast. After breakfast, we started to open up gifts. As the presents started to dwindle down, I kept seeing this small, floral box in the back. Once everyone was done opening their gifts my sister said “Oh Sarah this is for you, from Justin.” I was so excited! When I opened up the box there was what looked liked a jewelry box. Justin took the box from my hand, opened it, and showed me the ring. That is when I started to bawl like a baby. He then proceeded to ask “Will you marry me?” I was in shock and did not know what to say, so I asked him if he was sure. My family laughed and he told me yes, and that is when I finally responded to his question. I said YES! Now I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams and love of my life!
