Sarah and Julie first crossed paths online. After a few months of being friends on social media, some cheeky back and forth picture liking, numbers were exchanged and a first date took place the very next week in San Francisco with dinner and beers. Julie was drawn to Sarah's sassy sense of humour, while Sarah couldn’t resist Julie's bad jokes and old school values. It was only 6 weeks later that Julie asked Sarah to be her girlfriend and their whirlwind romance began. 2 years later, they moved to Sacramento and welcomed 2 kittens and 1 pup to their family. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going out to dance, hiking, cooking together and eating foreign food. Julie finally popped the question on December 27,2018 with the help of Sarah's mom, Dawn, Grandma Dee, Sister Theresa and niece Madison . Julie completely surprised Sarah by playing her favorite song "Back at One" by Brian McKnight-- and ofcourse, Sarah said yes. 2 months later, on February 10,2019 Sarah proposed to Julie with the help of Julie's sisters Karla and Stephanie, Nieces Sophia & Melanie, Nephew Aiden and Mother Laura. Julie was in shock when Sarah poured her a glass of wine, with a label that said, "Will you Marry Me" while playing "Compartir" by Julie's Favorite singer, Carla Morrison. and ofcourse---Julie said Yes.
As many of you know, last year we moved into a small apartment in Sacramento and it is filled with all the things we could ever need to make it a home. While we would love a wedding ceremony with you all, Per the guest limit at The San Francisco city hall we are planning on having a very intimate ceremony. However, we will be having a reception Friday evening to celebrate with family and friends. A registry has been set up for those who would like to contribute to our honeymoon and family fund. We are looking forward to starting this new chapter together, and can’t wait to begin our future as Mrs. and Mrs. Rico. All our love, Sarah & Julie
