Josh and Sarah met in the spring of 2021 when they were both servers at Legal Harborside in Boston’s Seaport. Josh being an experienced, tenured server immediately took a liking to Sarah and thought it was adorable how she spilled a pitcher of water on her first shift. He also thought she looked adorable in her Levi’s jeans that she wore to all her shifts. Josh helped train Sarah, and there was an immediate spark and attraction between the two of them. Sarah’s family came to eat at Legals early in Sarah’s tenure there, and Sarah’s mom remembers her pointing at Josh saying, “mom that’s the one I like.” Josh started to pursue Sarah and asked her out for dates but she would decline as she was convinced that he was doing this with all of the ladies at Legals. One day, Sarah was chatting with one of her coworkers and mentioned that Josh had been asking her out, when the girl was in awe that she “scored a date with Josh”, something she and other colleagues had been wanting. At that moment Sarah realized she was special, and she was the only one receiving Josh’s attention. Josh continued to pursue Sarah and told her that all he needed was one date to win her over, and he was right - that was all it took for Sarah to be smitten with Josh. Sarah and Josh went to Jillian’s Bowling Alley in Fenway on the first week of September in 2021 and this is where their love story begins. Josh was right- all Sarah needed was one date to fall for him. After their first date, the two became inseparable. They continued to work together where Josh would always help with Sarah’s tables and help calm her down when she became anxious and overwhelmed- something he continues to do throughout the relationship. Shortly after, Josh joined Sarah’s family’s Thanksgiving where he met her parents, and she also joined Josh’s thanksgiving where she met Josh’s Mom, Grandma, and sisters. It was an instant love between all parties. From there on, the two became more intertwined in each others’ worlds- going to Josh’s mom and step dad’s wedding together only three months after starting to date, experiencing their first Christmas together at grandma Carmen’s, double dating with friends, going to Denver together for Passover to meet Sarah’s paternal side of the family, and the list goes on. Josh, Sarah and Melly moved in together in March of 2022 and have created a wonderful home together - filled with so much love, goofiness, kitchen dance parties, home cooked meals, movie nights, entertaining, and continuing to grow their relationship. Josh proposed to Sarah July 22nd 2023, with their family and friends in Seaport where it all began. It was the best day of both their lives so far. Although Sarah wishes she didn’t take quite as many tequila shots. Josh and Sarah compliment each other perfectly. Although being brought up in different environments, Josh coming from a Puerto Rican home and Sarah being brought up in a Jewish household, they fit perfectly together. Josh’s calm and peaceful demeanor is the perfect compliment to Sarah’s hyper and overthinking personality. Josh loves how Sarah is nurturing and always kind to him, prioritizing him, and always making sure there is always a meal waiting for him when he gets home late from work. The two are so excited to get married on the beach in Cancun in November with all of their family and friends around.
