Josh and Sarah met while working at Manning's Restaurant at Harrah's Casino New Orleans. We started dating seriously as Josh started nursing school and Sarah worked at the Hyatt. We left New Orleans in 2020 when Josh started to travel nurse. Since then, we've lived in Gwinnett, Seattle, Fargo, Asheville, Vermont, New Hampshire, San Francisco, and Portland, Oregon, together.

We were camping at Blackwoods Campground in Acadia National Park in Maine and had a 5 AM pass to watch the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain, the easternmost point in the US. As the sun broke over the coastline, Josh asked Sarah to marry him! She said yes. He had the ring hidden in his backpack the whole time.
