Kansas City's own - Boulevard Brewing Company - 2 floors of seating indoor & outdoor with games. They serve food and pour their beers & quirks! Children are allowed!
Puttery
Indoor mini-golf place that serves food & has a bar! Located right in the Plaza near shopping & other restaurant and bars.
River Market
This is right outside north downtown - great area to walk around! There is a Farmer's market Saturday & Sunday morning until 3 PM, with plenty of restaurants & casual food spots. Take the walking path down to the "lock and key bridge" overlooking the water, then you can take stairs down to the bike/walk path along the river.
Power and Light District
This is a bar district with 2 levels of bars and several restaurants in the heart of Kansas City downtown.
Mildred's Food + Drink
This is a breakfast spot with great food, coffee, and smoothies. Located in between downtown and the crossroads area.
Third Street Social South Plaza
Another great sit-down breakfast/brunch and lunch spot! We eat here at least a few times a year.
Billie's Grocery
Surprisingly not a grocery store! This is a cute breakfast/lunch spot + bakery.
Blue Sushi Sake Grill
We come here many Sundays for sushi - they have happy hour all day Sunday and 2-6PM other days including Saturday! They have a location in Westwood near the plaza and downtown.
Q39 - Midtown
Q39 has some of our favorite KC Barbeque! Call ahead to see if tables are available.
Joe's KC BBQ
Another great KC Barbeque spot. Take it to go if tables are not available - a small place but worth the food!
Ponak's Mexican Kitchen & Bar
One of our favorite KC Mexican spots. Near downtown/crossroads with great margaritas & food!
The Peanut - Downtown
A sports bar that *allegedly* has the "best wings in Kansas City" and best BLT along with other good bar food. The Peanut has several locations in the metro area.
