Question

What happens between the ceremony and dance?

Answer

Following the ceremony, we will be having an intimate dinner with only our immediate family. We are so grateful for all of you and truly wish we could celebrate every moment together — but we’ve decided to keep this portion of the evening small and personal. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for the dance at 8:30 PM to celebrate the night away with us!

Question

What are some things I can do between the ceremony & dance

Answer

Here are some great things to do around The Wilds Resort — perfect for guests to enjoy between the ceremony and the dance or before/after the wedding - Play a round of golf - Relax at The wild’s Bar (pool tables available) - Salmonier Nature Park - Holyrood beach and boardwalk - Welcome to Holyrood sign - Grab a bite to eat at a local cafe/resturant (Wongs Hourse Resturant, etc.) - Relax and freshen up in your room

Question

When does the dance start?

Answer

8pm!

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We encourage guests to enjoy the ceremony unplugged. Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and be present with us in the moment. Feel free to snap and share during the reception!

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes! A bar will be available throughout the entire day, including during the reception/dance. Please bring ID if you plan on enjoying alcoholic beverages and a card for payment. (I am unsure if they accept cash) *The Wilds does not permit outside alcohol in the Main Pavilion. If you would like to bring your own alcohol, please ensure it remains in your room.*

Question

What time will the dance be over?

Answer

We have The Wilds booked until 1AM

Question

How far is the venue from St. John’s

Answer

The Wilds is about a 45 minute drive from St. John's. We recommend allowing extra travel time, especially given the Canada Day Holiday happening the next day. More than normal traffic is to be expected.
