We’re getting married!

On July 5th 2014 Sarah and Jordan met on North Avenue beach in Chicago. Sarah was with her girlfriends and Jordan was with one of his Marine friends. They both made eye contact, instant attraction, started talking and introduced themselves. Everyone played volleyball on the beach and once it was time to go no phone numbers were exchanged. Then 4 months later they matched on Tinder (yes tinder!). And the rest was history!

After 5 years of being together in a long distance relationship; Sarah decided to move to Florida to be with Jordan while he started flight school. They had been doing long distance their whole relationship and both had enough of that! Jordan was stationed in Quantico for TBS at the time so Sarah and her mom packed up the moving van in Chicago heading for pensacola. Jordans mom came over to say goodbye and Dana snuck Sarah’s engagement ring into her mom’s pocket so it would be waiting for Jordan when he arrived in Florida at their new apartment. On the day Jordan finally got to Florida Sarah’s mom slipped the ring to Jordan which she had been hiding for 2 weeks. Jordan immediately told Sarah he wanted to see the beach. Once they got to the beach it was a ghost town. There were probably two other people there on the whole beach (due to the corona virus). Sarah and Jordan walked to a bench and sat to watch the waves crash. As Sarah was looking at the ocean Jordan pulled the ring out of his pocket and got down on one knee and proposed. Sarah was so much in shock that she blacked out and didn’t even hear Jordans proposal. All she heard was “Sarah will you marry me?” And she said YES! Saying yes to the place they would start their life and on a beach just like when they first met. It was the perfect proposal!
