FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah Noell and Jordan Governale
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4 pm, please plan to arrive onsite at 3:30 pm at the latest. You will need time to park and walk to the chapel in the woods, which is located approximately 10/15 min walk from the main entrance. We will guide a group into the chapel at 3:45 pm. There will also be ample signage to guide you if you happen to be late.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please register with Silver Lake, if you are staying onsite, as well as RSVP here on Zola by May 1st.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes!! We have included children and babies in the RSVP and would love to see them at the ceremony and the reception. After we have received everyone's RSVP we will reach out to see if anyone is interested in child care options (like hiring a babysitter onsite.)

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refrain from bringing anyone who was not sent an invitation. Text Sarah or Jordan if you have a special request.

Question

Where Do I Park?

Answer

An email with parking details and maps will be sent ahead of the wedding. A link to a map of Silver Lake can be found here (copy & past link into web browser): https://www.silverlakect.org/files/websites/sl/Silver+Lake+Site+Map.pdf

Question

Can I Explore Silver Lake?

Answer

Yes! We hope you spend time walking the grounds. Sarah wants you to pop into the Art Grotto and soak up some of the poetry painted on the walls. Jordan wants you to find peace in the Composting Toilet. Find Waterfall Chapel and enjoy the sounds of nature. Walk down to the waterfront and admire Mudge Pond, just know you'll have to walk back up the steep hill. Please refrain from swimming and stay off the ropes course elements. Do not go into staff designated areas (there will be ample signage). Maps will be available at the Health and Welcome Center.

Question

Tell Me the Hard Facts About Silver Lake

Answer

There is no cell service; there is no WiFi (except for at the Health and Welcome Center); there are emergency landlines; it's a summer camp that has been around since 1957, it's rustic; it's an open & affirming church camp run by the United Church of Christ, note the many crosses and rainbow flags on site; check for ticks!
