Well...we actually met in the summer of 2019 when we first connected online. In God's perfect timing, our conversation fizzled out and it wouldn't be until over a year later that we would happen to match again. After an introductory Facetime, Jonathan and Sarah's first date was to Robinettes apple orchard, followed by baking an apple pie while watching the Packers. It was the longest (and last) first date either of us will ever have!
True to character, Jonathan's passionate pursuit slowly started cracking Sarah's cautious walls. On one Wednesday in the middle of October, Jonathan planned a surprise night of a fancy dinner, shining lights over the children's hospital, and slow dancing in the park. This is the night we look back on as where our love story started...
They say the holidays are magic, and we wonder if there may be some truth in that! With Christmas plans in the rearview mirror, Jonathan and Sarah were looking to the future. We realized there were big things ahead for us! Sarah buying a house, Jonathan going to graduate school, and getting married were all on the horizon. As people that love to savor life, we choose to patiently plan for a 2023 wedding to enjoy every moment of the process.
A hundred new house projects later, anticipation of our future life together was growing more real each day. On July 1, Jonathan surprised Sarah with a path of letters and rose petals, reflecting on our history and dreaming of a marriage to come. With a beautiful scene and a handsome suit, Jonathan proposed. Yes Yes YES!
We are dreaming of our big day with starry eyes! Join us at the Felt Estate in Holland, Michigan on June 4, 2023 for a celebration of love, community, and fun! We are so grateful for our Heavenly Father designing our story, and we can't thank you enough for being a part of it.
