We both attended Virginia Tech in the class of 2018. Our love story began as many do, at the El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant in Blacksburg, Virginia. Introduced through mutual friends, we started talking and hanging out towards the end of our sophomore year. Before leaving for summer, John popped the question and we were officially dating. We spent the summer visiting one another in our respective cities, introducing each other to our families and friends. Our relationship continued to grow over the next two years at Virginia Tech, enjoying Hokie tailgates together, spending long hours at the library together, and capping nights out with late night Benny’s pizza together. After graduating in the Spring of 2018, we both accepted jobs in the Northern Virginia area. This is where we would eventually move in with each other, and where John would ultimately get down on one knee.

On May 14, 2022, John got down on one knee and asked Sarah to marry him. We were at the Wharf in Washington, D.C. where the answer was obviously "YES!" to the big question. Later, John surprised Sarah with all of our closest family and friends to celebrate the engagement. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Cabo!
