Once you arrive at the resort, you can head to any of the Vacation Planner desks to book activities and use your resort credits—there are hundreds of them available! Important: You do not need to attend any 90-minute informational tour to access or use your credits. If someone tells you otherwise, it’s not true! While Palace Resorts may offer extra perks for doing an Introduction Tour, it’s completely optional. If you choose to do it, make sure it’s worth your time—many people don’t have time for it, and it’s not necessary. Only consider it if they offer something like $750 in benefits or an option that interests you (cash at check-out has been an option). The Vacation Planner desks are open nearly 24/7 and can explain how your resort credits work and help with reservations. You’ll know your booking is confirmed when they issue a signed white half-sheet of paper, which you’ll provide at check-in for golf, spa appointments, tours, photo sessions, and more.
Resort Credits (RC) Info: Page 1 outlines how many Resort Credits (RC) you receive based on your paid nights—this is per room, not per guest. You can split the credits however you like. A 16% tax in USD is charged for each dollar of RC used, and no tax is charged if nothing is used. You can settle up at the front desk before check-out, or the charge will be automatically applied to the card used at check-in (not the card used to pay in advance). Example: Page 2 shows that a round of golf at Moon Palace is $267 USD per person. If five people, staying for 5 nights, received $1500 RC per room (for a total of $3000 RC between two suites in a Presidential), they could cover all rounds of golf with RC. $267 x 5 = $1,335 USD for golf. The 16% tax would be $213.60 USD total for all 5 rounds (note: clubs not included). Each room will be charged for its assigned golfers, and you can either settle the charge at check-out or have it automatically charged to the card on file. Tip: Bring lots of golf balls! Please email me if you would like to learn more about RC! I can email you the PDF's from the resort to review.
The first two occupants of every registered room, NOT assigned to a rollaway, get a complimentary 25 min back massage, manicure, pedicure (use for foot massage if you don't need the pedi), and hydrotherapy at the Awe Spa. Book these in advance! If one of the guys is registered but won't use it, book a reservation with the vacation planner in his name and use it!
Golfing at Riviera Cancun is also an option - It is a Jack Nicklaus one too. About 30 mins from the Moon and transportation is included. It is near the brand new (other Palace brother owned) Hard Rock right on the beautiful turquoise beach/white sand beach (not found at Moon). It is a little less expensive, but maybe because it is an older course or because it is further to get too.? Still a great course, lots of water, animals (crocks and coatis (pronounced codies).
Resort Credit can be used for Laundry service - you need to have out 2 days prior to your departure but that is a great way to use RC so you come home with mostly clean items. There are also bags, scents and sunglasses in gift shops that are eligible for RC. Go in and browse and they will tell you which ones can be purchased w RC Oh - bowling is covered too! I honestly thought it was free as we've just dropped in and when lanes are opened asked if we can use them and they issue us shoes but you can make a reservation. There are some optional included tours as well as some water sports found at Moon. You can reserve a Cabana at the Adult only pool Unique Day Club with RC but Sarah, Lindsay and the Humphries should also be able to get for you complimentary - just ask and we can try to get it lined up.
Everyone should download the Palace Resort app. Don't worry about registering it to your room even though you have a reservation. You will do that upon check-in, then that portion will work. But for now you can review the restaurants, wine lists, entertainment, spa and Vacation Planner options - LOTS of helpful stuff here and once on property you can get stuff booked.
