Joe and Sarah met after Joe 'shot his shot' on Hinge and the two met on Halloween night, 2019. Although they were both feeling shy that first night, they left feeling like something special was there. Sarah decided she'd allow Joe to keep seeing her and it led to visiting various arcade bars, restaurants, parks, late-night taquerias, and even Joe making Sarah attend a Loud Luxury show. Before you knew it, the two of them fell in love with each other and couldn't stop saying it to each other. Shortly thereafter, the COVID pandemic hit and next thing they knew they were a bonafide couple playing house with Joe basically shacking up at Sarah's place (rent free I might add). Although it was a strange time, the two of them further cemented how much they enjoyed each other's company. As the months went on they did hikes, camping, cooking, baking, skiing, and playing as much as possible with Sarah's goldendoodle, Oreo. In 2021 the two of them made it even more official by getting a new apartment together where they live today. Later that year, Joe mustered up the courage to ask Sarah a question he had been wanting to for a while - to ask her to marry him. Sarah said 'yes' (thankfully to Joe) and they're so excited for what the future holds and to celebrate the start of the rest of their lives with all of you!

Joe grew up in Rochester, MN with two parents from Texas, Joe and Rebecca, and his sister, Jenny. When he's not designing stormwater systems as a civil engineer, you can find him biking, playing tennis and golf with his friends, attempting to cook for Sarah, trying new restaurants around Chicago, and having a night in with his fiancé and a glass of cabernet sauvignon. Ask him about the linguistic history of Europe, the show Lost (greatest show of all time) or his favorite Tim and Eric sketches. Sarah grew up in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park with her parents, Fred and Patricia, and her brother, James. When she's not designing websites as a digital product designer, you can find her giggling with her friends, playing cards and Catan, cuddling her goldendoodle, Oreo, watching a comedy or Bravo (she is fluent in Housewives), shopping on Michigan Ave, baking goodies for her sweet tooth, trying a new Italian restaurant with her besties, or hiking with her soon to be date-for-life, Joe. She loves to talk about dog training, soup dumplings, skincare, and outer space.
