Joe and Sarah met in November of 2015 through a mutual friend (Sarah's bridesmaid Mary) at her house party at Penn State. Their first date was a movie (Joe's favorite date night spot), and since attending Winter Formal together later that year, the rest was history. After Sarah graduated, she moved up to Boston, and Joe stayed at Penn State to finish his Master's degree. Post college, he moved to Hoboken with his friends, and Sarah and Joe spent 3 years back and forth on MTA trains from Connecticut to New York, and Go Buses from Penn Station to Boston. Finally in 2019, Sarah and Joe made Hoboken their home together, and welcomed their pup Penny in August of 2020. After patiently waiting (or not so patiently, ha!) Sarah was so excited to say yes to Joe when he got down on one knee in the pouring rain down at the Jersey Shore. They're looking forward to tying the knot on the one year anniversary weekend of their engagement!
