There are so many safe activities to do in and around Atlanta. We have many hiking trails, parks, you can rent a boat, go fishing on Lake Lanier, go to a winery or take a beautiful hike in the North GA mountains. Most restaurants, stores, and outdoor (and some indoor) activities are open for business.
